Something For Everyone

Whether you are a child or adult and have been abused, in whatever shape or form it may be, know that it is/was not your fault. It never is. Oftentimes, life never goes according to how we plan for it to go and as long as there is evil in the world, bad things will sometimes happen to good people. Hurtful memories never go away but with God and the passage of time, they will become less hurtful. Forgive yourself for the things that are/was outside of your control. You can't control what others do, only how you respond to them.
I strongly encourage you to seek a relationship with God, whether you are on your deathbed or cramming for a final exam. Throughout history there has never been an issue too big or too small for Him to correct. He hears and sees all and that includes each and every one of your secret trials. He also does not deny prayers, only delays them depending on the situation. Now although a relationship with the Almighty is not the most appealing thing to have in these times where riches, pleasures, and self-indulgence take center stage, it is still absolutely necessary to establish one if you seek true joy in your life.
All things that are held in high regard nowadays, that is, anything that money can buy, may seem valuable now but as time fades you start to realize just how much they do too. They are ultimately, vanity. They can't be taken with you when you head to the grave, so why strive so hard to accumulate them, placing them before the things that truly matter in your life? The things you have don't make you better than your family, friends, neighbors, or even the strangers you encounter on the street. We are all equal in God's sight because we are all human and therefore, all sinful, but having faith in Him, we can enjoy the true pleasures of life.
There are two roads in life and broad is the way that leads to death and destruction (Matthew 7:13). Life does not wait for anyone so remember that it is and will always remain your choice on how you want your life to unfold. The other road is the strait or narrow way, which leads to life (Matthew 7:14) and by all means it is not an easy road but what in this life that is truly valuable comes easy?
God is love and as long as He sits on high, justice will come to those who seek to do harm and bring misfortune unto those unprovoked. You may not live to see it, but His will shall be done, His promises He always keeps. Have faith in His saving grace because no matter the current circumstances and situations you may face in your life, ultimately, He gives you no more than you can bear. Read His Word and see for yourself the power that lies therein... Selah.
